My first blog on the move

Today I’m travelling. On the third bus of the morning, just to cover some 100 KMs.

It can make things harder for work but thankfully you can still get sh*t done on the move these days, mainly thanks to my iPhone.

So, in the last 2 hours, I’ve managed to get some ads online on Facebook for a client, schedule next weeks posts for another and I’ve got my planning and research done for next week.

Only one thing left then really, see if I could write a good blog whilst moving.

It’s been really eye opening to be out on the road. Relying on public transport to move from place to place.

But I’ve realised it gives me something whilst travelling that I never had before, TIME!

I used to drive pretty much everywhere, except in London where I used the tubes.

Now for an hours journey, I actually get an hours time to do what I need to. Be it work, writing or reading.

Find a little bit of Zen everywhere you go, even outside an airport.

It’s an amazing advantage, something that I just didn’t realise till now.

I’m getting as much done whilst travelling as I do when I’m sat in just one place.

A good smart phone and a data roaming package is all I really need. It allows me the benefits of an office whilst I’m just sat on a bus. Like right now.

This made me realise again how lucky I am, but also how much people need to stop with the excuses they give as to why they can’t get stuff done.

There are no excuses.

This is all about wanting it and doing it.

There is nothing else involved.

I want this. I want this lifestyle. I don’t want to go back to a “normal” life and I won’t go back to it.

Cheap flights in Europe from RyanAir

To keep doing this I just have to keep on working, keep on creating, writing and researching. I’m realising that I can do all of that anywhere. It’s just up to me.

So the real question today is, what’s stopping you from having the life you want?

What’s the story you’re telling yourself?

You need to break that mould, cut the excuses and make a choice. Once you do, then you can really move forward.

Written on a bus to Malaga Airport, next stop France for a week, then Asia is calling me next.

NOTE: Had to post from my laptop a day later, for some reason couldn’t upload images from my phone. Fixing that now…
