Unplanned As Always #8 – Thai Massage No Happy Ending!

Thai Massage No Happy Ending

So whilst on the wonderful island of Koh Samui, I decided I really wanted a Thai Massage NO happy ending. So, with a couple of friends, we decided to head to Bophut (also known as the fisherman’s village) to grab a massage.

I had already been to this place, it’s one of the swankiest massage parlours I’ve seen in the whole of Thailand to be honest.

There is nothing dodgy about it. It’s owned by a lovely French woman. The decor, the staff and the attention to detail is amazing and a 1 hour full body massage only costs about 450 baht (£10 roughly).

It’s location is bang on the sea front. This means that depending on where you are sat, during the day you can relax, enjoy your massage whilst overlooking the sea. The view even let’s you look over the island of Koh Phangan in the distant horizon.

What do you get in a Thai Massage No happy ending?

The full body massage includes your feet, legs, back, neck and arms. They use a lovely oil, smells nice enough, but a bitch to get off in the shower after. The location of this spa is great, in the heart of the Fisherman’s Village as it’s often referred to.

So here it is, our little trip to Cyan Spa in Bophut, Koh Samui.

I love Koh Samui, and have basically spent about a month here out of the last 3. I really can’t recommend it enough, whether it’s for a holiday or if you’re a digital nomad.

It’s big enough to get lost in. Small enough to move around easily. One thing I noticed,  unlike most blogs will tell you, it’s REALLY affordable. You can pick up great food in a local restaurant for 60 Baht (£1.25) a dish.

Break out of the mould of Chiang Man and head to Koh Samui. You can find out why I love it so much by reading Nearly a month in Thailand: My thoughts on Koh Samui for Digital Nomads.
