The Your Gibraltar TV site – now with over 2,000 pages of content.
I’m very lucky when I think about it. Owning Your Gibraltar TV has allowed me to accomplish things here in Gibraltar that I never would have been able to without the Credos of owning one of Gibraltar’s media outlets. It’s been a pleasure to be able to interview Chief Ministers, Ministers, head of companies and even HMS forces when they are over, either flying planes or sailing ships. I am even lucky enough to be able to say I had dinner with their Royal Highnesses, the Earl and Countess of Wessex!
But one of the things I enjoy the most is the ability to write. Believe it or not, this really isn’t something that i have been doing a lot of for many years, it is only recently that i have found my fingertips dancing across the keyboard and actually writing something that either I enjoy re-reading or more importantly other people enjoy reading.
Yesterday, I was very chuffed with myself though when an Editor’s Blog for YGTV received over 275 hits in the space of less than 24 hours. Again, bearing in mind Gibraltar only has 30,000 inhabitants, that’s nearly 1% that read my article.
I brought up the subject of Media and more importantly the over the top, eagerness to create a hollywood style story out of something. This time in particularly the three Al-Qaeda suspects arrested in Spain, which brought about a barrage of potential conspiracy theories, including well… Mine!
