It’s been a long time since my last post on here, but finally I have found some time to actually put “pen to paper”, metaphorically admittedly. It’s been an exciting year so far, having started with being in the USA for the first 3 months of the year and since being back in Gibraltar, launching our company’s new website and relaunching the online television channel for Gibraltar, Your Gibraltar TV.
So how do we find time to do all these things? Simple, it’s a sunday afternoon and here I am typing away.
We decided back in April that we had to get with the times. That our company website needed a new and innovative site, not to mention it had to be up to date with the latest technology, HTML 5, CSS 3 and more importantly, completely mobile responsive. So we set about working on what we thought would change the perception of Just Consulting, from just a marketing company to a complete creative agency.
Eventually it was done. HTML 5, bootstrap site that had all the bells and whistles on it. And yes, it was based on a template we liked and yes, all imagery was either taken by us our bought legitimately. So now we have it, our new site is up and ready and you can find it here www.justconsulting.gi (now called Social INK).
We then moved on to what we feared would be and turned out to be a much more complicated move to upgrade the YGTV site. Why were we worried, well simply put, the site has been live for over 18 months by this point and has over 3,900 articles, as well as over 500 videos embedded in to it.
So what was the plan, simple, another beautiful, HTML 5, CSS 3 and Fully responsive site. The only issue was, we could build the beautiful site, but we needed to pull the content from 2 separate sites and put those together. Finally we managed and thankfully it worked. Yesterday, the 13th July 2013 we relaunched YGTV with a brand new and beautiful (or at least we feel that way about it) site.

So what else is new I hear you ask?
Well in and amongst al this, we have launched Gibraltar’s first and only URL shortener, www.lui.gi (2015 – closed now) and so far it’s doing very well. It’s making an average of 290 URLs a month already. Not all too bad. Although we did it as just a proof of concept, it’s turned out to be very useful, to us and to others.
So what’s left on the cards…. Well now is all the interesting projects… We are launching www.yourdivingtv.com (2015 – closed now) next month, look out for that one, or click on the URL and you can sign up to be notified of when it launches. The site will be giving away 500 lifetime free memberships and once those are gone, it will be a subscription based website.
That’s not enough? You’re right! It’s not! We are now planning on launching Gibraltar’s first and only crowd funding software. Keep your eyes peeled.
